Meet Your Bozeman Home Birth Midwife, Averee

I have lived in Bozeman for over 22 years. I am the owner and home birth midwife at Saddlepeak Birth, as well as the primary assistant midwife and back-up midwife at the Bozeman Birth Center.  I been involved in local and regional midwifery organizations for over 10 years. I began my journey in birth work in 2013 when I discovered my passion for birth and for the autonomy of women, when I attended my first home birth. It was in 2013 that I started my midwifery training at Midwives College of Utah, as well as, my passionate career as a birth doula.

My passion continues to grow with every birth that I have the honor of attending. I highly believes in women, in their bodies, and in their babies. I believe that women should be powerfully informed and a be given evidence-based information to make the decisions that are right for their family. I acknowledge and honor the authority of the father in the sacred birth space. I believe every birth should be powerful. I believe every birth is life-changing. I believe every birth should be empowered and celebrated.
To every one of my precious families… I want you to know, I find no greater joy in this life than the moment a mother holds her baby for the first time and realizes that birth is normal, birth is powerful, birth is the hardest thing she will ever do in her life, and she just did it! It doesn’t get much better than that! and what an honor to be the person that gets to behold this miracle with her!

My home birth midwifery services are covered by some insurances

We work closely with a billing company to gain as much insurance coverage as possible. Our biller is also available to do verification of benefits, as well as, apply for in network exceptions. We also have a lot of our couples who utilize health share ministries to cover their midwifery home birth fees. Christian Health Share Ministries and Samaritan Ministries are the two companies we work with the most. We see wonderful reimbursement most of the time from these companies. It is important to know that even though we do our best to work to gain insurance coverage most of our families find that the out of pocket pay is quite similar to the deductible they would be paying out of pocket anyway. In this regard it is important that you and your family are choosing home birth because of your desire for gentle, passionate experience. We never want our families to be choosing our midwifery care based on a price point. We know the immense value in home birth and want each of our families to know and feel the same way. If you know you need a passionate team around you for an empowered home birth experience come and talk with me. I would love to see if there is a way that we could work out payment plans in order to make home birth and powerful midwifery care available to each and every family who wants to own their birth experience!
