Will you be in my way during labor?-Home Birth Midwifery: I truly believe that a mom left alone will birth her baby the best way possible. As your midwifery team we will be there to make sure you and baby are safe. However, we love for our families to be empowered to do most of the birth themselves with our safety net behind them. We believe in classical midwifery and the power of the mother-baby unit. We leave you alone and keep the space as quiet and sacred as we can unless you need or want our assistance.
-Birth Photography Services: As your birth photographer my job is to capture your birth without bothering you. I stay out of your way and out of the way of all of your care providers. My goal is that you won't even realize I am present. I want you to be fully aware of your birth and be paying attention to the job at hand and not at me. I am the silent part of your birth team. I am there to capture your birth process in a artistic documentary style photography. -Birth Doula Services: I am on your team to support you and your partner. I am not there to take over for your partner. I am also on your team to empower you to make the right decisions for you. I walk you through a an extensive prenatal process so that you can go into your birth feeling informed and in control of your process. I will never get in your birth space if I am not invited. I will be the kind of support you need and not a hindrance in your experience. My birth doula services are beneficial for every kind of birth.... hospital, birth center, or home birth. Will you travel?Yes, we base our Bozeman home birth midwifery services, Bozeman birth photography and Bozeman birth doula services out of Bozeman, MT. I charge an extra travel fee for any birth outside of Bozeman or Belgrade, MT depending on the services you choose.

What is a midwife? The technical definition of the word midwife is, "a person trained to assist women in childbirth." The one I live by is, "a person that aids in producing something new or different." A midwife is a primary care provider that walks beside women and families as they grow and bring a new baby into their family. I am an overseer of normal birth. I often take the role of friend, councilor, confidant, cheerleader, and biggest fan. I am a primary care provider that tends the heart, minds and health of each of my mamas as they grow their babies and become mothers. I provide comprehensive prenatal care, home birth, and postpartum care through 6 weeks. Home birth is my passion! Home birth is life-changing! I believe women and families are formed and become new as they truly experience the gift and divine blessing that midwifery care and home birth has to offer.
What is a doula?Doula literally means "woman's servant". I am a non-medical person on your birth team that provides informational support, emotional support, and physical assistance during labor and delivery. I specialize in the prenatal, birth and early postpartum support. I do not give medical advice, and I do not perform any medical procedures. I am trained in natural pain relieving techniques and other comprehensive comfort measures. I make sure that your birth is as comfortable as possible.
Will you miss my birth?I do everything in my power to be at your birth. In the very, very rare event there is some act of God that keeps me from your birth we will have someone as a backup that can fill my shoes with the same respect and experience that I have.
I only accept a maximum of 4 births per month so that I can tend to my client's needs and wishes. If for some reason neither myself not my backup can make it (and we were called at least an hour before you deliver) we can discuss financial reimbursement options. What are your qualifications?
